Well as u cud see in the image below... we wer trying to
have a custom rectangles overlay the base map... When we provided the
bounding box coordinates directly in the form of multidimensional array;
sort of like hard-coded them... everything is well and cool..

I've been using phpmapscript for on-the fly query displaying the
resultant images... Now that I've got this problem that I tried using both
mscross openlayers to display the image but somehow I cud not work it
out.. I mean in both the above frameworks we need to specify

in POSTGIS and When pass on a query I wanna retrieve those rectangles and
overlay them on the mapserver basemap

http://mapserver.org/mapfile/layer.html#opacity TRANSPARENCY/OPACITY value
for Raster image; So that the base map is not obscured by the raster overlay
you were trying to apply. Is that the thing u wer asking for?! I jus can't
see your image as
