I am sensitve to strobing/scanning at 60Hz or below. Back in the days of CRT computer screens I had to set a fast refresh rate or I'd get a headache looking at what I percieved to be a rapidly flickering screen. Flourescents in pairs don't bother me (I presume they are wired in opposite phase)
