Hi Mario, first, please keep the traffic on the list. 2012/2/28 Mario Giammarco mgiamma...@gmail.com: Here it is: [mieionline] driver = blazer_usb protocol = zinto port = auto desc = yunto q700 # subdriver = zinto vendorid = 06da productid = 0601 But please note that I have done: man blazer_usb and I see no protocol option. I am using the ubuntu 11.10 version 2.6.1-2ubuntu2 everything is fine in your ups.conf, and with your setup. I've even tested it with the same setup (ubuntu and nut 2.6.1-2ubuntu2): $ sudo upsdrvctl start blazer Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.6.2 Network UPS Tools - Megatec/Q1 protocol USB driver 0.03 (2.6.2) Duplicate driver instance detected! Terminating other driver! Supported UPS detected with zinto protocol Vendor information unavailable Battery runtime will not be calculated (runtimecal not set) so it's either an old version that was still running, or another obscure error. can you please try again, ensuring that you're using the right binaries? cheers, Arnaud -- Linux / Unix Expert RD - Eaton - http://powerquality.eaton.com Network UPS Tools (NUT) Project Leader - http://www.networkupstools.org/ Debian Developer - http://www.debian.org Free Software Developer - http://arnaud.quette.free.fr/ 2012/2/28 Arnaud Quette aquette@gmail.com: 2012/2/27 Mario Giammarco mgiamma...@gmail.com: I am not able to do the test When I put protocol=zinto I get: Fatal error: 'protocol' is not a valid variable name for this driver. Halo Thomas und Mario ;-) 2012/2/14 Thomas Maisl exp-122...@maisl.com: attached information was retrieved while UPS was operating _offline_ (doing a runtime test) thanks a lot for your test results. 1. lsusb -v -d06dA:0002 2-6. blazer_usb using subdriver cypress|phoenix|ippon|krauler with and w/o protocol zinto IMO cypress with zinto produced the best result, ippon and krauler didn't work indeed cypress with zinto is the best fit, though your unit doesn't answer to anything else than the basic 'Q1' phoenix also provides the same support. [YQ450] driver = blazer_usb subdriver = cypress protocol = zinto vendorid = 06da productid = 0002 port = auto desc = Yunto YQ450 via USB I've just committed a patch to the trunk (r3447) which links 06da:0002 to the cypress subdriver, and added the following HCL entry: Onlineups 2 Yunto YQ450 blazer_usb This means that you now (using the latest trunk) just need to specify: [YQ450] driver = blazer_usb protocol = zinto port = auto desc = Yunto YQ450 via USB Moreover, specifying zinto is not that useful, since only Q1 is supported. I did try bcmxcp_usb w/o success, did some reading and realised that there had been some support in the megatec-driver which blazer is the successor. In blazer_usbs' manpage phoenix is a subdriver option - and lsusb pointed to Phoenixtec. So I gave this subdriver a shot. Theoretically, I'm not shure if everything (all available parameters/values) is ok. Behaviour is reproducible (see attachment). While testing I did detach and reattach the USB-cable. Then send us back the debug output of the driver, ie (as root): $ /path/to/blazer_usb -D -a upsname Let it run for a minute or so, then stop it using Ctrl+C. cheers, Arnaud -- Linux / Unix Expert RD - Eaton - http://powerquality.eaton.com Network UPS Tools (NUT) Project Leader - http://www.networkupstools.org/ Debian Developer - http://www.debian.org Free Software Developer - http://arnaud.quette.free.fr/ ___ Nut-upsuser mailing list Nut-upsuser@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/nut-upsuser
