[Nut-upsuser] Problems with config of newhidups
Hi all, I just downloaded, built and installed nut-2.0.4-pre2. I have an APC Smart ups 3000 connected via a usb cable. I have compiled and installed the usb drivers. I installed the libhidups and libhid.usermap per the README. I have the following ups.conf: [APC-3000-ups] driver = newhidups port = auto desc = APC smart 3000 When I try to start the driver I get the following output: (pocono pts19) # ./upsdrvctl -v start Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.4-pre2 exec: /usr/local/ups/bin/newhidups -a APC-3000-ups Network UPS Tools: New USB/HID UPS driver 0.28 (2.0.4-pre2) No matching USB/HID UPS found Driver failed to start (exit status=1) (pocono pts19) # /proc/bus/usb/devices shows the following: T: Bus=02 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=01 Cnt=01 Dev#= 2 Spd=1.5 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=00(ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=051d ProdID=0002 Rev= 0.06 S: Manufacturer=American Power Conversion S: Product=Smart-UPS 3000 RM FW:666.6.D USB FW:2.4 S: SerialNumber=JS0438010331 C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=e0 MxPwr= 30mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=03(HID ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=usbhid E: Ad=81(I) Atr=03(Int.) What version of Fedora Core is RHEL4 most similar to? rhel 4 is a strange hybrid placed between fc2 and fc3 but with bits from fc4. an upgrade from fc3 to centos 4.3 (rhel 4 U3 clone) left the kernel and glibc from fc3, as they were seen as being newer ___ Nut-upsuser mailing list Nut-upsuser@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/nut-upsuser
