I'm still trying make scanner working on unix. I created program
that replaying usbsnoop logs and get image data, but i don't know how
i can see scanned image. I has information about image data from twain
debug log:

I am just working to get my Canon LiDE 90 working. I took in the
genesys_devices.c the LiDE60 an did some changes. I have a sniffer log taken
with usbsnoop. Some registers i could firgue out where to set them. The image
still looks like data is somehow scrambled. There are some setting
I'm using the current version. So I wasn't able to apply the patch using the
patch
utility. However, I manually edited the plustek-usb.h file to refect the
changes in the patch that allan provided. It doesn't help. I still have the
same issue.

This looks like the shading correction(corrects for the properties of
each ccd cell) is making the image worse. please disable it by changing
gl841_init_optical_regs_scan to only disable it:

Is it possible to conceive of solving the general scanner problem by
going down a route like ndiswrapper used by the wireless-device people
(or would one perhaps end up emulating too many ntoskernel functions...)

I took the mustek_usb2 back-end, and made it look for Microtek
ScanMaker 4900 (05da:30d9)
The result was the output as shown below and an 320x240 black and
white image with noise.
There was no motor action, but there also was no aborts like I had with a3p1.
