Hi Eion, Thanks, the hangouts plugin worked. I had a bit of trouble with the auth, because the dialog from Pidgin took me to a page Google said I didn't have access to. But it did eventually work - I think I needed to be signed into my Google account in the browser first. Thanks again,

Hi Adrian, If you want to use Hangouts over XMPP, you'll need to enable "less-secure apps" settings in your Google security settings, otherwise you can switch to the Hangouts plugin at https://bitbucket.org/EionRobb/purple-hangouts which uses OAuth to login. Cheers, Eion On 22 August 2016 at
