I want to try using Mate in rawhide and there is a comps group for mate, but when I do yum groupinstall mate-desktop I get: Warning: Group gnome-desktop does not have any packages to install. But there should be a number of packages needed for mate. The comps entry looks similar

The MATE desktop web site has install packages to add MATE to Fedora 16 or 17. Lo and behold and deja vu, there it is, legacy Gnome 2 desktop. I tried compiz but that didn't work. That said, I think I've become accustomed to Xfce. Would be nice to get workspaces on a cube now
