is compressed, I am thinking a wrong bit will invalidate a whole section, so you will likely see some artifacts on screen. Not sure what happens to audio. I guess I can just hexedit a wav file and see what happens.. ;) -- wildgoose

it does not respond to the remote. Holding the reset button will trigger a factory default, and it does boot up all the way with the intro sound playing. However power cycle the unit and it will boot back into the blank screen. -- wildgoose

, run it in standalone mode. It can read music from either a NAS location, or the SD card. How is the performance with the build-in SC in the Touch? I didn't test it because the device seems to have no memory left even without starting the SC service (128mb ram). -- wildgoose
