I'm really tempted to order a Ref 5.2 so I can hook up my Touch directly

I'm just wondering if there is a lot to be gained soundwise over Touch's
S/PDIF with TT3.0. Can it rival with a good USB

Just to confirm my initial impression. EDO 0.6 (option 999) + TT3.0 +
SBGK's blog settings delivers much improved sound. Not only wonderfully
balanced, but also
I can't get this to work. The plugin is checked on LMS. The app is
installed on mysqueezebox.com but I cannot connect mysqueezebox with
facebook. Pressing the button connect with facebook doesn't do
anything at all, in any browser I tried :(

Have been lurking for a few months, looking for a better solution to
play a 2TB HD with mostly Flac, have been using my Oppo 93.
Jumped on the sale at Vann's the other day, ordered a Touch.
My plan is to hook it up via digital

Without TT3.0, playback is without clicks. But when TT3.0 is added, I
get click every 8 seconds.
Any suggestions on how get EDO work with TT3.0
I use EDO+TT3.0+SBGK's blog values (in that order). FWIW, no clicks.
See mi sig for eqpt. info.

Is there any difference in quality between the Toslink and coax digital
outputs?
Thanks
As garym suggested, trying both with your equipment is
I'm getting good sound after installing EDO but when I tried turning off
the Touch's screen through Putty it couldn't find TT. Also I tried a
24/192 file and it plays - but super slow(like half speed)
Being unable to play 24/192 doesn't really bother me as I only have one
file but I would like

Running slow at 192k is probably because you are playing back as wav/pcm
which needs the 7.8 version lms and the player firmware.
I just updated to 7.7.2-r9663. There does not appear to be a more recent
version. I installed you turn off screen app but I don't know how to

Do I need to reinstall TT3.0?
For 7.8 you need to install the beta version of LMS first -

John,
It should just work. Which $200 DAC do you have? Are there any lights on
it to indicate lock status of the various data rates? If so, what do
you observe on those lights? Are there multiple inputs to select the on
the DAC for various input connections? Are you sure
No success with WaveIO async USB to I2S card.
Message at boot: no dac connected...
I tried different kernels, it's the same.
No problem with a Teradac TE7022L USB to I2S card.

John,
The Musiland Monitor is a USB interface; it does not have coax inputs.
It does have a coax *output* connection, which you seem to have mistaken
for an input.
Therein lies your problem.

There should be no difference at all. Digital is digital. Your
receiver's DAC will decode each the same. The big difference is in the
Touch's analog output. The DAC in the Touch is excellent, even better
than that found in many receivers.
Spotify just started giving me the garbled symbol error trying to play
anything today 7/21. Rhapsody has a much better app for SB.

Does this App enhance the digital output though toslink to an external
receiver?

this app will allow the playback of 24/192 material via toslink (or
S/PDIF) to a DAC that can play 24/192.

that problem tells me that your local LMS does not have your

Yes, using USB on Touch means you have disconnected from LMS server on
your NAS.
Looks like LMS Twonky are trying to access the same ports. Try
disabling Twonky for a few days to see if LMS works fine then.
So far so good, LMS and twonkymedia both streaming.
However, I have
