I also tried putting a couple lines in /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 8.8.4.4
nameserver 8.8.8.8
This did nothing, and I also tried to ping 8.8.4.4 and also 8.8.8.8
and it was unable to connect.
I looked on my router and listed the devices connected, and this computer is
not showing
