a suspend or hibernate. My motherboard is an Asus A7V400-MX, and I've
tried it with the Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150MCE PCI tv tuner card, as well

After experiencing the strange tv only for a split second while moving
a window in front of it phenomenon, I had an inkling it was a video
driver issue. So, I Ctrl_Alt_Backspaced it and restarted the X server. I
logged back in and after running mplayer again, the picture shows up
perfectly!

This work-around for a common problem was too hard to find, in my
opinion.
The Ubuntu documentation provides instructions on how to enable DVD
playback (both encrypted and unencrypted) using gxine. If this

Ok, it works.
I install gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse in Gutsy Tribe 3 and mp3
profile is choosable.
I think I made a mistake between gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly and
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse.
But I keep on thinking it's not much coherent that the profile is present in

The error says that hda3 cannot be found which is correct. /dev/hda3 does not
exist.
This is correct because ide-core and ide-disk does not get loaded in bootup.
When I do modprobe ide-disk from the initramfs console the harddrive
gets detected correctly.
