I had an issue booting with kernel 2.6.31-20 that got solved when
upgrading to *-21. Can you try to press SHIFT when you start the machine
so that it shows the Grub menu, select an older kernel to boot (like

I just witnessed this bug on a newly upgraded Lucid beta 2 system.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to Places - Connect to Server
2. Enter the details of a server folder to connect to, e.g.:
* Service type: ssh

* folder: /home/user
* user name: user
3. Click connect

Some update on this. Following the xulrunner update from 1.9.1.8 to
1.9.1.9 in Karmic today, Eclipse now crashes in exactly the same way

I don't think this is a duplicate of bug 528324. If it was a duplicate,
using xulrunner 1.9.2 should resolve it but it doesn't appear to do so.
I did the following:
1. Downloaded xulrunner 1.9.2 from:

UNR Karmic, EeePC 701: notification on login that battery is at 1.9% and may be
@Dominic: I can't reproduce with a fresh workspace. In fact, with the
-data `mktemp -d` option, I can close the welcome tab and close
eclipse but the process does not die, I then have to kill it with kill
-9.
