Hello Rich,
unfortunately I reinstalled 7.10 due to rearranging my partitions on the
hard disk, therefor the log files from /var/log/dist-upgrade are missing.
It was a regular update not an upgrade and I solved the problem by sudo
apt-get install libqt3-mt and answering with Y in a terminal.

the error occurred. Were you installing regular updates or were you

This comes up on EVERY 7.10 update (after a new install). So it says,
new updates avaliable, then you start the update process. It will fail
nearly ~45% at the qt3 package, and you have to finish it in a terminal.
Just type sudo apt-get upgrade (and it will continue) and then press Y

use the former, there should be some information in
/var/log/apt/term.log about the problem, please include that in the
bugreport so that we get a better idea what actually goes wrong.
