This bug just sucks, I am starting to consider moving to Apple stuff. I
hate windows, but some bugs in Linux seem to be fosilized ! Every time I
download something big (>100Mb) my Wifi network dies and I have to
disable/enable Networking to solve it.
I however do not want to upgrade to newer Ubunt

This happens to me as well, and I just installed 10.10 Maverick with
kernel 2.6.35-22-generic.

I really can not believe that this bug does not affect more people.
Probably they do not see it if they only use the WiFi card for internet
browsing with not very fast connections. However, as soon as you start

Same here after a couple of minutes with heavy load. Thinkpad T60 with
Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan]:
