Title:
Random logout to tty
To manage notifications
Before retrieving todays updates I'd like to share good news. Writing
lots of text in gedit and online - no logout to lightdm yet, no respawn
messages. I deeply respect and appreciate your work on this issue, many
thanks. I'd love to learn about the reason, e.g. something in log files
which I've
After recent updates still no logout. I'd suggest to declare this one as fixed.
Let me know if there is more testing needed on behalf of this issue.

Thanks for following up on this one and you're pugnacity in providing
feedback. It helps a lot in solving this type of difficult issue. I
think it was in some way due to bug 802271, and apparently the fix there
fixed your problem too.
Thanks again for your time and your help to make Ubuntu

While writing a bug report it didn't log out.
Writing only few letters with gedit logged me out.

Updated about two hours ago. Started writing in gedit more then 50 random

Rebooted, started again writing about 10 lines, logout to lightdm 01:14.

The change is, that it logs me out to lightdm now instead to tty. But before
lightdm appears I can see tty scrolling down one or two seconds.
## After updates I've rebooted, because of another test, wanted to know if
there're still gnome-settings-daemon segfaults in log files after reboot.

Bug #801609 sounds a little familiar, except it's Natty, Kubuntu and
nvidia, but maybe there is something else in common.
I've started right here now typing fast and got logged out to tty:

Jun 25 18:35:34 kernel: [
No, it has nothing to do with a longer uptime. After commenting here, opened
gedit, started typing random lines and got logged out 19:04. Lots of tty
respawning lines.
Beside, when I opened syslog with nano on tty I've found out that it displays
the wrong time in between.
e.g.
Jun 25 17:23:07
Too early too happy. Just reported a bug and while typing got logged out
to tty again. But it took way longer this time and let me write much
longer in text files and online.

Since a few hours now writing text files and on Launchpad - *no logout to tty*.
Ok, here're my observations. Since I'm the only one affected by this, I
reinstalled and upgraded via Natty (hp doesn't boot ***22:27 tty logout

In tty those mentioned lines scroll down, the last word is password in large
letters, but if I start typing it displays clear letters.
Some time later user login appears or I can hit [Enter] more times until it

After login I can startx which logs me into failsafe GUI without
Reproducable by pressing [Enter] key several times.
