I have the exact same issues. Upgraded from 16.10 to 17.04 and then immediately
to 17.10. Everything works fine, except this drag and drop behavior. It is
limiting to my productivity as I tend to use the desktop a lot.

When performing display color calibration through gnome-color-manager
using hardware colorimeter (pantone huey in my case) odd profile results
are obtained and sometimes the process fails. The problem is probably
due to the test on-screen color patches that are rendered in a
True Epson iscan .deb's can be installed now.
But nevertheless Epson scanners relying on iscan refuse to work (Epson
V300 in my case).
scanimage -L doesn't detect them, neither iscan, simple-scan or xsane.
This is less than half a fix.
BTW. in Ubuntu 17.04 the scanner worked with libsane

python-xarray fails its autopkgtests with the current netcdf, and has
been removed from Debian testing for other reasons. This should
probably be investigated and fixed but, for now, demoting and blocking
migration so it doesn't itself block the netcdf and icu transitions.
Tried to restore by normal Package-scan an Updater, but no solution.

This affected me on a laptop using atop:i386 1.26-2 on Ubuntu 14.04.5
(upgraded from 12.04 I think(. I'd woken the laptop shortly before
midnight, and at about 3am, the wireless connection was up but with no
DNS.

dnsmasq: failed to open pidfile /var/run/dnsmasq.pid: No space left
Then, my advise would be to backport the TT hinting fix to 2.8.0 in
Artful for all those not able to use 2.8.1 from ppa? Bionic is still a
long way to go. Anyway, all is fine for me, so feel free to decide as
you see fit...

The provided kernel has swapped the speaker and headphone channels. The
Headphone channel in alsamixer is controlling the laptop speakers! If

So, this definitely isn't a "fix", but it resolved the problem for me
(at least so-far). I simply dpkg-reconfigured over to another DN
temporarily, rebooted, then swapped back to GDM3 and it went away. Less
of a fix more of a band aid.
