In Apache's error.log, the error happened at some point between 10:00:39
and 10:01:18, so I have included a much-reduced access.log with all PHP
files executed between those time points on that day, appropriately
sanitised. Hopefully it will prove useful.

within the last month or so, but as it was closed as 'cannot reproduce'

The state in lucid is really problematic. Afaik, the init.d scripts are
supposed to provide wrappers for upstart in the transition period, and
we are using them in a lot of old scripts to manage our fleet. Reloading
ssh with /etc/init.d/ssh reload resulted in a weird state where
upstart believes

This upstart-'upgrade' (along with plymouth implementation) is one of
the points where Canonical chose to neglect the LTS part and implement

The *.el symlink looks like an side effect of the a2ps postinst script.
It should rightfully expect *.el to expand, but if it the files are not
properly installed, this is what you will get. (Haven't looked at the

When you hover with the mouse over the line number indicator in the mode
line, it is supposed to turn into a clickable button. But the button's
east border is drawn in the middle of the button, obscuring the line
number and somewhat losing the
1.3.7-1ubuntu4 works great for me.

I am setting the Status of this bug report to Incomplete to mark it as
pending on your input. Feel free to set it back to New once
*sigh* , I was not asking for more fine tuning but giving an update on the
nightly that it is better now *for me* .
And the update was because you had pinged me earlier a while back on irc if i
had tested the nightly and cause i had not reported back that it was better...
