when has synaptic package manager ever been a security risk?Waylan
allows software updater to work so should it allow synaptic to work in
root.You cant even get root terminal to work.I do not believe that I
should to have do work arounds to make it work. It just should work like

I have been using xscreensaver since gnome stopped using a screensaver.
I dont use lock screen,and it has had no effect on gnome shell that I
could determine.One way of doing it is to have screen saver in the start
menu. Xscreensaver works as a stand alone and would need no patch. The

12.04 has the same results. I installed xubuntu 12.04 It gives me more
display options and works fine. Did an upgrade to ubuntu 12.04 through
synaptic. Gnome and unity stiil dont work. I can log back into xubuntu.

However in mate it installs it correctly. It looks like gnome 3 is using
the wrong xorg trident driver. I would expect it to be the same in both.

the card that I am using is a apg/vga 3d video card. Vessa is a generic
driver with limited functions.. Its like running in safe mode. You have
less adjustment and lower resolution. Xorg is showing it as a vesa
driver. which is ok if you dont mind fuzzy and distorted pictures. I

some one who knows the difference between vesa and vga needs to look at
this.

This might be a mozilla problem. I have been following this on other
forums. People running mac, suse,fedoroa, and others are having same
problem. Could tis be passed on to mozilla or do I have to do
myself.Everyone is saying going back to 3.5 will fix. I tried that but
ubuntu boosts it back up to

prism extension firefox now starts every time.I will file a bug on
