My fix was after do-release-upgrade and reboot, I just ran "apt --fix-
broken install" as instructed by apt, and that seems to have fixed it.
also if it matters, I'm running xen, this is a "guest" OS.

I just tried to reproduce it on the weybridge which you used before and got the
same issue, then I reset the BIOS to default setting, the issue disappeared!

It is difficult to get the log immediately after the crash, because it

see this issue with Weybridge platform.

related to framebuffer, when I do the installation with vga setting
640x480, everything is OK.

- with our SDV machine, from menu, 'system - Quit - Suspend', the

- with Lenovo T61, do the same thing, seems the system can come back but

In BIOS, if I set Video Configuration - IGD - Boot Type as TV only, then
there will be no any output on TV after Xwindow start. if I set as CRT+TV+LFP,

Here is the Xorg.0.log which using the inteldriver. about hte 2.0.0
version, it is i386, not match with my setup now, so I am installing
another desktop, will let you know the result after that.

I did the test again today, here is the steps:
1. test the resume by the command:
sync
echo 1 /sys/power/pm_trace
echo mem /sys/power/state
result: the system is suspended, then I try to push the power button to let
it resume, a new login xwindow is prompted,
