The Unity Greeter in Trusty is showing a white background and no cursor;
not allowing for indicators to be clicked or the desktop environment to

Environment. It happens when using Blender, any 3D game or SDL game, or
even at random if using a 3D desktop environment.

I found out what the problem was.
Somehow the appmenu packages for gtk applications had been removed (I
didn't do it manually). I reinstalled them and it seems to have fixed
the problem.

unity-panel-service since yesterday uses ~100% CPU when
I forgot to add, icons are still active for me. Of course, LibreOffice
is now ugly, but at least I can work on my novel now :).

Sorry for the late reply. I do have indicator-multiload, so I think that
might add to my issue.
Part of the reason I have not replied faster is that Firefox Nightly and
Thunderbird Nightly have had a nasty memory leak themselves (yeah sucks) -
so I had trouble getting my mail while I tried to get

If I enter expo mode (or switch virtual Desktops) with Blender3D
running, compiz becomes unusable. I have not tried with any other 3D
programs, or with the Cube. It remains unusable until I quit blender and
