Conclusion for now: If the bios of the laptop has a serial port enabled,
the described error does not occur, the card got it's own devicenode
from udev. I dont know if we have a depend from pcmcia serial port to a
real ttyS from the bios, if yes this bug can be closed.

Not in full, i bought a fresh album at amazon and first import it over
the file/import media to my library. Two files comes up doubled with
ecactly same file target. Take a look at my picture. Banshee 1.9.0 git
doubled some tracks, buy 10 and get 12;-)

Can this bug caused by the gstreamer-plugins? As you see above one song is not
duplicated and have another filedate. All players use gstreamer-plugins to read
the songs and all players duplicate the songs but one.
So does easytag, when reading the affected folder the not duplicated song is

For the usb subsystem and banshee my f480 / intenso musicwalker are only usb
sticks now, Both get only the usb stick symbol an no more playersymbol on the
desktop. The players did not recognize them as player devices, if there is no
.is_audio_player file defined. The intenso works up to ubuntu
This bug still exist, 10.10 cannot play dvd's stable. Does not matter
what kinda drive, sata / pata, does not matter which player is used.
Tested vlc, video-player and gnome-mplayer with this. Here you get a
mplayer debug from this issue. Movies are only played some minutes,
then suddenly stops.
Does not matter which dvd, i have many dvd concerts and viewed them well
up to ubuntu 9.xx versions. VLC shows the same bogus, the error seems to
be in libdvdread.

samples are muted while recording, not inserted in the full stream.

The machine did not boot if some kind of harddisk is inserted, but did
not boot any kind of operating system, their setup or from a sideway
installed harddisk. This looks like a defective hardware on the board.
Marking this bug as invalid.

For me this bug is fixed after updating machines to 10.10, all my 3
computers are syncing now.

Got exactly this on my thinkpad x41. Unable to install netbook, desktop,
alternate 10.10, 10.04. The error loop runs a while, then the system hangs up
completely. Unable to get a live system running through this bug, only when
removing the harddisk i can live boot to a desktop.

Used a 2gb stick and unity 10.10 image with usb creator. First boot was
okay, now the stick shows the cursor upper left and did not load
something more from the stick.

Ubuntu 10.10 lubuntu on eee 901. Updated from 10.04 lubuntu i got this error,
dpkg sees no error but the eee is in unusable state now. The en- and dycryption
is broken, no write access to old and new created homes. I'm very happy that i
create a root account so i can maintain some things
Further information: When ssh'ing from outside or using a local tty with
user account the ecryptfs unlocks well. But login at gui did not do
this, nothing can be clicked and the menu is empty. The record your
passphrase sign appears but the button is useless.
