Hi Will,
Unfortunately, you can't use AdminClient to do that. Because Kafka use
zookeeper to keep the user quotas. And there is no API for this.
You can implement this feature by writing raw data to zookeeper. The
protocol is simple:
first, write data to:
znode:

Hi all,
The PMC for Apache Kafka has invited Manikumar Reddy as a committer and we
are
pleased to announce that he has accepted!
Manikumar has contributed 134 commits including significant work to add
support for delegation tokens in Kafka:

Hi community,
I'm trying to implement quota configuration function in my own kafka portal
program written in Spring Boot. I found out that there is no API for me to
do that. So I read the source code and here is my way:
write {"version":1,"config":{"producer_byte_rate":"1000"}} with path
Hi again,
On another note, does it really make much sense to limit by time this way?
wouldn't it be sufficient with just the 50mb? In use-cases like ours,
restarting/rebuilding the state opened almost 30K extra files on each
broker (It seems it is doing the repartitioning much faster than the
Hi,
We are using a dockerized version of Kafka :
https://github.com/wurstmeister/kafka-docker
We deploy using ECS on AWS machines.
We have "tests" in our system, and for each "test" we have new Kafka and
Zookeeper brokers (for security reasons, it's a must).
We run on EC2, and using Elastic
Thanks for the quick answer, Bratt.
You are right, my brokers did not shut down cleanly. The issue was not related
to the update.
Thanks for the pointers!
Best,

Hi,
I'm exploring whether it is possible to use Kafka Streams for batch
processing with at-least-once semantics.
What I want to do is to insert records in an external storage in bulk, and
execute offset-commit after the bulk insertion to achieve at-least-once
semantics.
A processing topology can
