I'll be playing all my new songs, along with many of my songs from the last fifteen years or so, in little sets off and on all night long, starting around 6:45, and going till probably around midnight. I've got a video projector and various footage I've been putting together that will be going in-between and during the live stuff. I'm flying in my old guitar player from Idaho, Ron Taylor. He and I co-wrote many of the songs on the lisarein.com website: http://www.lisarein.com I'm also flying my sister up from LA to sing harmonies with me on a couple songs. It's pretty sweet of this pub to let me take over the place for the night. It's actually been a little dream of mine to have enough stage time to be able to go through all of my favorites from the last 15 years -- and in a fun filled environment where I can have as many people there as I want. Ireland's 32 also has these *really* great home made beef or chicken pot pies, so if you need to come by early (it is a Sunday, after all), come by around 6:30 and make a dinner show of it. (Actually, you and a friend can probably split one easily, they're HUGE.) They have a great pool table upstairs too! It's just an all around great party locale! They're letting me use the bar for the night in the hopes I can bring in a crowd to buy drinks. So drink up. (It makes the music sound better anyway :-) And if I'm lucky enough that you actually have old favorites that you want to make sure I perform, by all means, let me know! [EMAIL PROTECTED]lisa%40lisarein.com In between some of my sets, my good friend Tim Perkis will be performing a little set with his daughter around 7:30. http://www.noisypeople.com http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Perkis You may have seen Tim's cool new movie about improvisational music, Noisy People, around recently. Tim's also a fellow Dabble co-founder. (And a fellow ex-Dabbler and co-founder*.) The Breezy Days Band will also be squeezing in a little set prolly around 9:30 or so. Thanks! And I hope to see you there. ___ *That's right folks! Contrary to the mythical folklore you may have heard, there were 6 of us total...SIX!! Looking for something medium sized (no less than 60 seats) in the Hollywood area that either has food/drink or allows event organizer to bring their own food/drink. Something like Raleigh Studios, Cinespace, AFI, Silent Movie Theater...any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

[videoblogging] QT Flash and iTunes (hope this is of value)
I had an earlier version of QT preloaded on this new machine. A lot of sites I was visiting, QT would give me the ?. I updated to QT 7.2 but began having crappy playback, a conflict with Flash and a few sites still gave me the ?. The fix for me was: System Preferences - QuickTime - Advanced - MIME Type - Miscellaneous - then UNCHECK Flash Media - Click ok Once back on the advanced page saw that Enable Flash (Enables playback of Adobe Flash Tracks) was UNCHECKED as well. Then using the drop down menu for Transport I chose Custom and experimented until I got a setting that gave me the best result. Then I tweaked the Streaming settings until I had a real nice test here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/troubleshooting/ But Flash was still giving me problems, so made sure I was using the latest version of that too and I updated to 9,0,47,0 (you can check yours here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/) and then read about the settings manager located here: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html Heelp is here: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/index.html And the answer to one of my biggest puzzles was solved here: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=4c68e546sliceId=1 ...A local shared object, sometimes referred to as a Flash cookie, is a small data file that can be created on your computer by the websites that you visit. Shared objects are most often used to enhance your web-browsing experience, for example, by allowing you to personalize the look and feel of a website that you frequently visit. Shared objects, by themselves, can't do anything to or with the data on your computer. More important, shared objects can never access or remember your e-mail address or other personal information?unless you willingly provide such information. A third-party local shared object, sometimes referred to as a third-party Flash cookie, is a shared object created by third-party content, or content that is not actually located on the site you are currently viewing. Third-party local shared objects may be important for privacy discussions because they can be used to track your preferences or your website usage across different websites that you visit more:http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/security/ When I went to the settings before I deleted or changed anything I had maybe a hundred )or more) of these Flash Cookies listed. Most I recognized (Yahoo, Blip) but far too many that I did not. I don't mind some stuff that makes browsing easy, but not that keen on this extra step. iTunes Just one of those things. I was looking for an answer for my own unrelated woes. Specifically updates and versions that change or do not function as expected. This looked interesting enough to pass along. Apple http://www.macintouch.com/index.shtml ...Apple has already revised its new version of iTunes, posting a iTunes 7.4.1 release without documenting what changed from Version 7.4. MacInTouch reader Mark Booth, however, apparently has the answer: [Mark Booth] A fellow over at MacRumors Forum discovered how to easily use your own ringtones with an iPhone using iTunes 7.4. (You just change the extension on ANY AAC file to .m4R and then drag the file to the iTunes library. It is then available to sync with the iPhone via the Ringtone tab.) Apple's 7.4.1 release kills this ability. (However, I think someone else has come up with another hack for 7.4.1 already.) Got to hand it to Apple... they slammed the door on the easy hack VERY quickly. I don't think I've ever seen them release an update like that so fast!... --- In videoblogging@yahoogroups.com, eric gunnar rochow [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: hi all, a follow up to Waz's post that i have since lost. if anyone wants the apple iTunes - apple TV setting that Waz sent me, send me an email. At the moment, we're having some trouble with the fireant.tv domain name and are working with the domain registrars to get it resolved. We haven't suddenly switched our focus to bug extermination, as domain parking key words would otherwise indicate. :-) The good news is our main site GetFireAnt.com http://www.getfireant.com is up and running and we've been directing most of our web traffic to that address for a long time.
