Could talk to Eric Skiff and Chris Brogan, see how they managed to get the New Yorker for PodCampNYC. A mixture of donations and sponsorships, I'm pretty sure.
That said, I can help out, but I can't plan it. I have too much other stuff going on, so if people in DC have the resources and the time and energy to plan it out, I'll go there. Same for any other city within reason (cheap airfare from hubs). I will say though that if NYC is voted for, I have a pretty good space for a party. I'll donate my loft and roof for a pre or post vcon barbecue. House parties are lots cheaper than bar parties. $10 a head times 100 people or so buys a good amount of food and drinks. If NYC isn't voted in, we're throwing a Vloggercue here anyway. June 23rd is the date a few of us have agreed upon, so mark your calendars regardless.
