I recently used my Classic to design a vector for laser cutting. I was building something and needed it doing. Had my Classic sat on my coffee table, as I'd been using it for writing. Illustrator 3 made it a painless job.
My Mac of choice and the one that is in regular use, is my 8500. Which I use for graphic art.
