My old Wallstreet still runs like a top - OS 9, big bright screen, and the best
keyboard Apple ever made for laptops. I still use it as a writing station using
MS Office - 2 good batteries and I'm good to go for hours (I could do the work
on my MacBook Pro but there's always the temptation of the internet). I get
questions at the library every once in a while - people see the upside down
Apple logo and wonder what the computer is.

Oh - and I still play old games too. Guilty pleasure.

Subject: Re: What do you use your vintage mac for

Pretty much one thing: play the games I grew up with! I need to maintain a
fairly large spread from System 6 to early PPC versions of OS X.

This is just a random question, but I am wondering what people are actually
using their vintage macs for. What software do you still find useful? Have you
done anything to make it more useful? My biggest thing is being able to print,
which I have had some success by using a mac mini, but that requires a mac with
an Ethernet connection.

I was using my G4 mac running OS9 for quicken, but recently stopped.
