What hardware were you installed on that needed this patch? When you say
xcatd would not start, what were the errors? One way to see errors is to
start it in the foreground.
/opt/xcat/sbin/xcatd -f

Subject: [xcat-user] Patch for xcatd to support better SLES

Hello!

I tried xCAT 2.7.5 on SLES 11 SP2. My masternode has IPv6 disabled. I
needed the attached patch that xcatd will start. Would you please supply
the patch to the svn repository.
