Thanks all for the help. Looks like an ethernet cable with an AAUI adapter could be the solution. Are the cables all alike or is one made especially for 10baseT? By the way, the laptop is an ibook. Thanks again,

Guy

I have a 7100 with lots of files that I would like to transfer to
another computer, a laptop with no disk drives. Anyone know how and
if possible to make a flash drive (cruzer mini) work with a 7100
running OS 8.1?

Any other good ways to move the files, not including emailing them?

No way to go from 7100 to USB flash drive directly.

A network is probably your best bet.

If it is a "new" laptop, just use an ethernet cable. Cheap
and fast.

He'll need an AAUI to UTP (10baseT) adapter. The 7100 only has an AAUI port and no RJ45 jack. The adapters are cheap and free, but that could cause some puzzlement, if we don't tell him about it, when he goes to plug in the cable.

Or a NuBus ethernet card with RJ45 jack is another option.
