Andrea, thank you very much for spending your precious time on benchmarking my patches.
I made recently minor performance improvements (5-10% again) but I am now working on applying 24.8 fixed-point (DDA) computations on edges. I expect that change to give a performance boost on multi-core machines (integer vs float) without loosing quality. This benchmarks confirms the performance goodness of Laurent's > work (if there still was any need for that...) and shows, interestingly, > an advantage for the CLQ solution under high load. > > Pretty good stuff... go Laurent! > Thanks for your congratulations ! (I appreciate as I mostly got no feedback on my pisces work) > Now... if only I can manage to write a faster PNG encoder :-p > Maybe you should send RFE / bugs to ImageIO PNG encoders ? Laurent
