Recently I heard "Warm Leatherette" from The Normal. I haven't heard this song
in a long, long time. Found a really short bio on the net about the guy who
made the song. It turns out he started up Mute records (Depeche Mode, Meat
Beat Manifesto). Just curious but did this record have any influence on the
early beginnings of Detroit techno. It has that Kraftwerk/old Front 242 sound.
As a start, I guess I should refer to the Handbook (Techno Rebels). Anyways,
Dan? Alan? ol' schoolers?

Thanks,

Ethan
