Just got back from seeing Common Factor DJ at the Lounge in Melbourne...
grrreat stuff!
Good support from Spacey Space (Pole, Mainstreet, KDJ, Drexciya), Boogs
(Isolee, Herbert and a small dose of breaks) and Voiteck/Boogs double-team
(going crazy on 4 decks) after Common Factor finished his extended DJ set.
I gotta say that Nick/Common Factor is a fine DJ who really knows his shit.
A genuine mix of Detroit grooves and Chicago swing, throwing house and
techno together to great effect. He has a 'head-down' DJ style... but really
kept the floor moving with some sharp programming. He really knew his
records too... letting most of his mixes time-out, before kicking the new
track in smoothly. A real breath of fresh air!
All this, plus I got to see Cyclone shake her $$$maker on the dance floor.

Now all I wanna know is why wasn't he booked to play anywhere else in
Australia???
