Since this thread was inspired by the song 808 by Blaque Ivory, it should be pointed out that it was actually produced by R Kelly outta Chicago, not the group. So he's the one behind the 808 reference, I would say. The production overall is very Timbaland-like, it's only the vocal arrangements (patterned after Kelly's) that give it away as his.
