> As far as RA samples...you're on your own... i had to buy blindly when i first heard about "sounds from..." i'm glad it was a sure bet. i buy alola blindly period b/c there aren't any RA samples, but in general, expect it deep, jazzy, and well, noodly, especially if it's omid's. forced exposure stocks "sounds from..." & the accompanying remix EPs "falling" features a lush, swanky omid/deep dish collaboration. and both "water ride" EPs are quite nice--stacey pullen's 17C remix is verra nice & omid's own remixes are actually _better_ than the album track.
omid's "trance" releases are under the alias phaser. and he's also had at least one release just as omid. here's the alola/disclosure discogs as of mid feb (w/ my comments), straight from the man himself. albums: SIXTEEN SOULS STRANGER GIRLS (ONLY CD)CD001 VARIOUS MORE SPACE TO DANCE LP/CD2 (lurvely--one my favorite releases from '99) 2ND NATURE ERA LP/CD3 (if there was a ninjatune/guidance hybrid, this is it) VINCE WATSON BIOLOGIQUE LP/CD4 (deep, jazzy, noodly w/ massive kick) singles: 16B STEP BLUE ALO020 PHASER JANUARY/SPIRALHEAD ALO011 16B PARIS EP ALO030 16B VOICES EP ALO013 16B SEXDIVE ALO015 ORN SNOW ALO002 16B SECRETS ALO007 NAV SPACECHASE ALO1007 16B VOICES IN THE SKY ALO2007 A.TEASDALE MORE SUNDAY ALO3007 NOVAK PROJ.
