I was there too, and I was _very_ disappointed,
never having heard Derrick May play before.
Instead a certain Jim Masters played for three
hours... no comment. Although I have to say in
his favour that he dropped Jay Denham's 'Pride
[It's Time]'. Didn't make up for the rest though.
Carl Cox played the last set that night - no sign
of Kevin Saunderson though - and while I can't say
I was impressed with the tuneage it's good to see
a DJ enjoying himself behind the dexx. He was
really into it, and loadsa peeps were dancing hard.
I guess I just was a very moody Techno grrrl
on Saturday night...

I've heard about this mistreatment at Fabric too.
Has anyone ever tried to get in touch with their
management and asked why they do this?
Perhaps it's just the bouncers at the door?
If so it might be worth a try because it does
give the club a bad reputation although as a
'super' club they maybe don't care?
On the other hand it's been my observation
[here in London as opposed to Germany] that
there's often more boys than grrrls at Techno
events. Not that I mind either way or that I'm
looking for an excuse but it could be that
they want a more balanced audience. Just a thought
I had right now.
Having said all that I prefer going to small[er]
clubs anyway but it appears to me DJ's from tha D
don't often play those here in London... ?
Btw., does TP ever play over here or is it
only my impression that he doesn't?
Anyone know if there's a reason for this if so?
And I'm still hoping Alan Oldham comes to London
some day. There are plenty people here who like
good music. Really. :)

Hope y'all enjoyed your weekend! DEMF...
*sigh* ;) Mebbe next year.
