well, if you can afford it, buy and akai S-model
They're up to the s6000 now (but that'll set you back a good few grand)
on the other hand, for about three -four hundred quid (english) you could
get a second hand s3000. Probably cheaper in the U.S. and IMO the best
hardware sampler you'll get for that price.
but that's if you want to go hardware... often it's more worth using
software and I know a lot of people who are going that way. But that's out
of my area
