Hi Jurren,

I talked to Alan a couple of days ago in Berlin and he still has some work
to do on the comic. It should be for the end of this year or the beginning
of next year. The release of the comic is the start of a subdivision of Pure
Sonik which will be called Pure Comics. Alan is also thinking about
releasing the comic together with an album by respected techno artists. Some
of them have already said 'yes' although there is nothing on paper yet. It
should be very interesting though and something worth looking forward to.

Good move to order the Kraftwerk book. Also check The Rough Guide To Techno
by Tim Barr!!!!

Hope this helps,

John out

Subject: [313] Alan Oldham comics

On the the Progress Cd by T-1000 it says that a new Alan Oldham book is
going to be released this year. Is it out allready, and where can i get any
of his comic-books? I really like the drawings he does for Djax, and the
other stuf I've seen from him so far. I have a hard time finding any good
comics (like Rick Griffin and others), all they seem to sell here in Holland

seems to be "Suske en Wiske" and old "Spiderman" issues. I know it's
slightly off topic, but I thought I just give it a try.
Second: does anyone know of any good books about techno in particular, or
electronic music in general? I've read "Techno Rebels" by Dan Sicko, "More
brilliant than the Sun" by Kodwo Eshun and "Space is the place" by Szwed
(about Sun Ra), and I just ordered "Kraftwerk: From Dusseldorf to the
Future" by Tim Barr, but I was hoping to find more. Any books on Herbie
Hancock or Miles Davis about the "Bitches Brew" period?
Thanks,
Jurren
