listen to any lock groove track and you'll
notice, if the pitch is at 0, that the bpm of
the lock groove is always 133.33333333
that's because a lock groove is one revolution
(around the record once in a groove whose
start meets its end). something to do with
33 revolutions per minute.  i'm no math wiz;
in school i got 99/100 for final mark in the arts,
but only 52/100 in the sciences, so i'm totally
useless when it comes to explaining maths
and technical stuff. you can BS in the arts,
but you can't get away with it with #s. andrew duke
