I'm not but should have but was born a few weeks later, I am not sure how
premature/late births affect it. I am a Leo (though in in a few
interpretations Leo/Cancer cusp) and there are no Leos making techno/
electronic music that I know of apart from Carl Cox. We're supposed to get
on well with Geminis but they just beguile me, which isn't a bad thing since
I like being beguiled.

I have this theory that we're partly socialised into signs but then there
are some commonalities that can't be explained.

A lot of those daily readings are dubious though - how many times have you
been promised a grand romance/holiday (BOTH OF WHICH I WANT NOW) and they
ain't come? I was recently asked to make one up for a fashion magazine (I
didn't) and I found out that a mate of mine did them for a leading women's
mag when the regular guy (I'd love to tell you what he did before he retired
and took up this column but it could get out and I'd be in trouble, it's
hilarious mind) couldn't get around to it. Neither had backgrounds in
astrology and were just using their creativity. So approach with caution.

What is surprising though is how universal astrology is. If you talk star
signs with people from different backgrounds (crossing race, creed, colour,
nationality, gender, etc) you will usually find common ground. In this
Claude Young (Cancer) interview I did recently he said that everytime he
logs onto his e-mail he checks out his daily chart and it's usually not far
off the mark.

Gemini here. STONE Gemini (May 31). Can't say much about how this influences the stuff I make, except maybe that my head's usually in 5 places at once and maybe all the things I pick up on come through in the music.

I try not to think I'm superstitious, but just about everyone I've told I'm a Gemini waaay after they've gotten to know me says they could've guessed immediately. And their reasons why are usually - freakily - similar. Who knows?

P.S. On another thread note: Let's hear/read opinions on Rob Hood's new one.
Besides a couple of early reviews, everyone's been silent.
I'm sure many of you have bought it. What's the consensus?

I think it's one of the best 313 releases in a long time. While not in the stylistic vein he's recognized for, it holds up, for me, as a deep, very funky and very nostalgic series of exercises in Detroit techno. And it flows as an album, too. Been playing it every day.

my 2 centavos.
