MSP is used by Twerk, Kit Clayton ,Suketh and i think Stewart S Walker does
now too. in fact i think kit programs for cycling
u can see twerk playing live at www.groovetech.com under the SF section and
there a KitClayton live show on http://www.boombox.net both use powerbooks
and Peavy midi controls. Only thing about MAX/MSP is that its MAC only for
pc users try Reaktor, Audio Mulch and Granulab
Whilse on the subject of computers wondering how many Detroit artists use
computer to such an extent? like in the early days they used 909s 303s etc
cos they were cheap now computer systems are prob cheaper than what there
charging for analog gear there is tons of free software on the web too.
Hopefully the kids in detroit will be able to get access to compters and
continue the great music the city has made for many many years
