I think all sets need to breathe, and by that I mean techno DJs who don't break
it down or house DJs who don't pump it up once in a while aren't grasping the
concept of dynamics. ..This can be accomplished with the same stack of records
you brought last week, but knowing what to play when and how to play it. People
on the proverbial "floor" need to breathe, too, or maybe I'm just out of shape.
;) I think the term "soft" here is being misconstrued to mean something less
than 140bpm, whereas I think a more appropriate definition would mean - to me
anyway - someone with the versatility and knowledge to drop in abstract ambience
or slowdive eclecticism during one of those foreboding "proper techno" sets. ;>

Live a little.
