I hear ya Jussi. A lot of Sherard's recent stuff has been more the fast and furious style electro [which I quite like :-)
However, his other TRUST EP, was much more introspective : http://www.discogs.com/Urban-Tribe-Bio-Electronics/release/952581 I've not heard the latest one though. Still, the WeMe LP of earlier in the year was also more on the melodic and 'spatial' [if you will] than the Rephlex ones in 2005 and 2006. So I think to say there's more balance in his styles than you've noted, would perhaps be fairer. -----Original Message----- From: Jussi Lehtonen [mailto:jleht...@mail.student.oulu.fi] Sent: Thursday, April 16, 2009 8:42 PM To: Somewhere in Internet Subject: (313) Urban Tribe - Social Engineering - Trust Couldn't first make up my mind whether to play B-side on 33 1/3 or 45 rpm. My first contact with Urban Tribe was with Covert Action / Low Berth. I like his stuff quite much when it's... I don't have the words for it... A bit more spatial than the marjority of his work (I have listened until this far). Jussi Lehtonen "Metaprogram yourself."
