Boogie tribe promises to throw good parties and they do. there aren't many
production companies on the face of the planet that can f*ck with them.
even on the west coast where they draw 30,000 people per party Boogie Tribe
just stomps all over them. not only that they never have DJ's cancel on
them.
as for the venue...Congress Theater is kinda like the Fox Theater in
detroit, same setup, just alot rattier. last time i went to a party there
it closed down at 4am. i don't know if that is the curfew for all the
parties there or just the one i went to...it was thrown by someone other
then booogie tribe though. and the mens bathroom floor was covered in
water. of the 3 toilets they had there 1 was operational. the other 2 had
the pipes disconnected. and when you flushed the one that worked water
sprayed out to the other twos pipes...it really is a dirty place. but there
are lots of comfortable chairs being a theater and all.
and of course this party has a great typical DJ lineup. the names that
stuck out the most for me were Mark Almeria and Paul Anthony. those 2 know
how to tear the f*ckin club up if you know what i mean. Mark has the best
track selection in Chicago (better then Paul Johnson!) and Paul was a Mid
West DMC finalist. both are excellent DJ's. I would have to say that Mark
is my favorite House dj. just my 2cents on this...
