Hello 313-list Last year I wrote about making music, and my love of Drexciya and UR. I'm not from 313 so hesitant to talk about this but I'll just stick to my heart and my interest in music was really very inspired by this list and Detroit music. So apologies to anyone who might not be happy about me using this forum, but I'm not really belonging to any other. I won't make a habit of it.
The water theme in Drexciya was always interesting to me but it was all about the music being unique. It sounded like it was made by people from Atlantis, alien beings that live out of sight on this same earth. I dreamed of living under the sea when I was young. I wanted to live under water with breathing apparatus that filtered oxygen from the water. I guess I'm not the only one who day-dreamed and read books like that. Some of my sounds have been a bit cold, and I've gone in a particular direction with some kind of lonely sounds perhaps. I'm fascinated by Lake Vostok and Europa. If there's a theme then I like the theme of life beneath the ice, here and out in space. I made a playlist for a possible release. I was thinking about self-publishing this on vinyl but I'm afraid of doing it wrong, getting the wrong people to do it, or failing on the mastering. I'd prefer to share music on SoundCloud or the Internet in general and create a hard-copy on vinyl as the finished work. https://soundcloud.com/kerr-knoll/sets/cool-electronics Some more work required, but I think I'm getting there. Feedback and advice would be appreciated. Cheers Steve
