Sorry I missed you Benn, was pretty hectic and packed venue and I forgot my charger so was walking about London with 6% charge for most of the two days I was there
The gig was great - not "clubbing" in my normal experience of it but the venue is very impressive (Bladerunner/Aliens vibe) and sound and lights were generally amazing I'm not normally into BOSH BOSH BOSH Techno so I was pleasantly surprised by James Ruskin's set and Marcel Detmann played a Prescription track and maybe a couple of Wild Pitch numbers so generally got he thumbs up too. Octave One absolutely rocked it for me - superb blend of driving house rhythms with their tight techno riffs and stabs over the top. Only downside was the vocal version of Blackwater they played - massive thumbs down for that one. The Stingray set was not good at the beginning, there was something seriously murky about the sound and he couldn't get his groove and then it totally kicked in and I loved it Unfortunately I thought Jeff was pretty off form - he was spacey without being trippy and/or not generally playing with enough energy to move a crowd and venue of that size. Plus I fxxcking hate The Bells so that didn't endear him to me at all :) Interesting venue, I'd def go back and check it again, was a bit weird being in a club listening to utterly banging techno at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon though Jason On Mon, 17 Dec 2018 at 10:44, cnd <[email protected]> wrote: > Nsfw.
