Axis just announced Detroiters Gerald Mitchell, Amp Fiddler, and Eddie Fowlkes will have new releases out on the label this Fall, alongside some non Detroiters. Lots of new material coming is great to see. Shawn and John mentioned next are not from Detroit but hope you'll forgive this update: Shawn Rudiman has a new album out June 5 on Pittsburgh Tracks. It can be simply described with one word: wow! Truly a techno & electronic music masterclass. John Tejada follows up the recent EP on his Palette label (featured a Plaid rx) with a new project: John Tejada Presents Future Stars: A Compilation Benefiting Macmillan Cancer Support Featuring Students from Tejada’s CalArts Music Production Class. Terrence Dixon has new material on the way and Scan 7 are staying busy, too. These 4 are all artists I support who have been innovating for 20+ years, some more than 25. I urge you to support actual innovators instead of buying re-releases from fallen icons. Andrew
