That's was Jan Hammer. Ban Hammer (pronounced Bahn) was Jan's cousin from the Hungarian side of the family. He is most remembered for moving to the San Fernando valley in the late 80's and scoring porn soundtracks using bad general midi soundcards.
Now don't quote me on this, but I heard that Josh Cheon from Dark Entries found a couple of boxes of Ban Hammer's lost reel to reel master tapes in an outhouse in Malibu last month. Expect a 10LP retrospective box set that with be ready just in time for Christmas. That's just a rumor tho, you didn't hear it from me.
