Hey there! Signal Records in Logan Square on Diversey had quite a bit of house and techno the one time I went there. They are somewhat new. They have a second location too I believe.
There is also Hyde Park Records if you want to venture down to the south side. They would have mostly house over techno. Technotourist activities could include going to the site of the original Warehouse and the honorary Frankie Knuckles Way, and trying to find where the Muzic Box was :) Cheers!
