Perhaps I should have said. The FAQ as well as the 313 list are a part Detroit
Techno history.

The content of the FAQ contains information not only relevant to joining the
list, but also contains historical information about Detroit Techno,
Individuals involved, music formats, even the significance of the 313 area code.

The 313 mailing list has provided(s) a wealth of knowledge regarding Detroit
Techno and influenced genres, artists, etc… going back through archives
can/could provide not only historical information, but also some context for
said information. The music, the people, the scene, and yes the flame wars are
all part of that.

Both are relevant to the history of Detroit Techno.
