Picked this up on CD last night. The Rolando/Red Planet connection is
making a whole lot of sense now. If you're looking for fresh MM/RP type
rhythms/sounds, this is a stunner. About halfway through Rolando's mix a
string line that could have come straight off any number of RP 12"s slams
in, then some more Jaguar-like stabs join the party. All 3 the UR mixes
also have RP elements to them IHMO. Damn, these mixes are great! Check the
new lyrics: "They Soul Electric: Detroit...They Soul Electric: Germany..."

1. Orbital Mix 4:55 (a bit retro-sounding, synth-poppy in an annoyingly
                     'ironic' fashion)
2. Francois K + Rob Rives Mix 7:20 (deep elektro-funk/soul...nice one)
3. DJ Rolando Mix 7:29 (a real grower, Kraftwerk jamming in an elevator
w/UR...is that MM doing the Spanish guitar solo?)
4. Underground Resistance Mix 3:57 (utopian mind-funk...instant classic)
5. UR Infiltrated Mix 3:23 (this one has yet to sink in...mutated electro)
6. UR Thought 3 Mix 2:43 (string-drenched, sublime, & all that hi-tech jazz)

Looking forward to hearing it on a big system.
Cheers,
Wes
