...just to add to your comments kyle, minus yellow is fun to play at a club too because 1/2 the people don't know that this is a richie hawtin remix track. people think your playing some goofy 80's tune so you see their faces light up with excitement because they recognize the track. then yes - it's a simple/effective mix into minus orange if you care to do that and the sounds of minus yellow can really be effective while mixing in various styles of techno/house. it's a nice record to have to change things up while djing.

a few months back someone posted to the list requesting a description of
richie hawtin's minus yellow. i believe the only response that was posted
was like, "pretty boring - sounds just like minus orange," or something to
that effect. a couple weeks later i came across it in a record bin but
didn't pull it out, recalling what i had heard about it. recently i've
borrowed a copy from a friend and have grown quite fond of it, and i get a
kick out of the samples from ferris beuller. plus there are some pretty
nice locked grooves that are good dj tools: you can go from one side of
orange to a yellow locked groove, and then flip orange (its the same bpm)
to the other side and quickly mix it in. sounds pretty good IMO. so now
i'm quite wishing i had picked up that copy i saw in the record bin. just
goes to show ya. . .
